Mechanical Engineer

A new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to expand on previous practical working experience and utilise their educational knowledge in a well known and successful company. Full time, permanent role based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Paying a competitive salary. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is essential for this position alongside a strong practical ability. Duties: With support and under supervision be responsible for the delivery of projects from start to finish Perform design and development duties for projects Produce and check design calculations Prepare detailed technical specifications Conduct research investigations and report preparations and findings Utilise engineering knowledge throughout assignments Make selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives Provide general engineering support to the Design and Technical team Devise initial concepts and develop detailed designs Design integration and validate and review mechanical systems Under guidance perform inspections on new equipment Plan and report on equipment and system integration trials Produce detailed specifications and scopes of work Review and report on supplier submissions Other ad hoc duties to support the team Skills/Requirements: Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent Practical ability to support the design and development of mechanical systems Proficient use/knowledge of AutoCAD 3D design software package knowledge such as PDMS - preferable not essential Engineering calculation package knowledge such as Hevacomp and Cymap - preferable not essential Should your application be successful, you will be contacted shortly.
