Outsource UK are currently working with a large Banking Group located in the Solihull area, who are looking for an Underwriter Support Officer to join the on a permanent basis. To work closely with the BTL mortgage underwriters and assist the team in processing applications through to offer. You will be working as part of a small team gaining knowledge of the mortgage area. Key Duties Complete final checks and issue mortgage offers Reviewing and assessing valuation reports Assess additional information provided by various 3rd parties Liaising by phone to intermediaries Liaising closely with senior mandate holders, surveyors, legal and Support Services Liaising with Completion Officers with regard to ad hoc mortgage conditions where appropriate Actioning daily exception reports Review and cleanse the pre offer pipeline Completing general administration tasks to support the team Contributing positively to team meetings About The Candidate Key Skills Some understanding of the Mortgage lifecycle Some business awareness and knowledge of the buy-to-let mortgage industry Ability to follow policy and procedures Ability to learn and adapt to a changing and demanding environment Good attention to detail Strong telephone communication skills Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications.
