Overview

Based in the AI space, this fast-expanding start-up create technology to counter terrorism and protect children. There has been a surge in interest in AI tech recently though this company are looking to engage with it in an ethical way. They’re doing this by bridging the gap between humans and AI; researching, designing and developing user-centric AI tech. Since their launch in 2016 they’ve built a team of 15 and are looking to at least double this by the year’s end. As such they’re looking for a frontend engineer with at least 3 years’ experience to join their team. It’s a great opportunity to join a multi-skilled team and work on a greenfield project with no legacy code to hold you back. They’re big fans of React and use this in conjunction with both Redux and JSX, as well as both ES6 and ES7. You’ll be transpiling JavaScript from these standards to ES5 using Webpack, as well as playing around with things like Fetch APIs and JSON data. Then there’s your more standard languages such as HTML and CSS (any experience of SASS would be a bonus). They work primarily with Node on the backend so if you have got any experience with creating APIs with that, it would be a huge advantage. As would Docker knowledge. They’re offering a salary of up to £60K as well as some pretty awesome benefits.
