Accountant | South Manchester | Manufacturing | £40,000 | CIMA ACCA QBE Axon Moore are representing a well established and reputable manufacturing firm based in South Manchester. In line with strong plans for continued success, our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join a successful team. About the role The successful candidate will be a key member of the finance team, reporting directly into the group finance function and having a broad set of responsibilities within the subsidiary. The role will hold a key position in a strong team who operate in an excellent environment where staff culture is of paramount importance. The role covers all aspects of accounts including journals, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and bank reconciliations. Key responsibilities Main Responsibilities will include: Liaise with senior leadership and external stakeholders to confirm weekly payment runs. Mid to long-term cash flow reporting. Monthly VAT returns. Sales reporting. Tracking, Processing and payment of supplier invoices. End to end credit control procedures from sales invoicing to posting cash receipts. Managing customer credit limits, posting of charges and balancing accounts. Multi-currency bank reconciliation. Preparation of payroll on a weekly and monthly basis. Ongoing system and process improvements. Cover or assistance with general office admin duties. All aspects of Purchase Ledger. Petty Cash. Desired experience The successful candidate will be a personable, dynamic individual who wishes to grow and develop alongside a successful growing business, with support from a management team and group finance. ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, or QBE with 5 years accounts experience. Previous experience in an accounting role. Manufacturing experience essential. Excellent levels of accuracy. Ability to self-manage and work to deadlines efficiently. Proven problem-solving capabilities. Project costing experience preferable. Knowledge/understanding of payroll processes would be an advantage.
