Management and Rebate Accountant - Opportunity for an individual who may be currently part qualified (CIMA or ACCA) and looking for the next stage of their development. There is a minimum expectation of 2 years commercial accounting experience within a Management Accountant role. In addition we are a Microsoft authorised distributor. We are now looking for an individual to join our Finance Team, within Management Accounts. It is a role that supports the Management Accounts function as a team of three. This role is pivotal in delivering management accounts with particular focus on inventory and cost management combined with support to complete divisional reporting for the Board of Directors. Expectations will be that you can demonstrate both creating and maintaining operating procedures for key processes within your area of responsibility as well integrating the finance function within the business to support business strategy. As part of this you will command a strong commercial understanding of the business enabling you to work closely and effectively with both the sales and purchasing teams. Your responsibilities will include the following: Maintain & ensure data integrity of product master, warehouse structures, nominal distributions etc. Complete monthly reconciliations of all stocks to the nominal ledger, including sales, cost of sales, trading margin variables (TMV) and relevant stocks related balance sheet accounts. Investigate and correct any stock variances. Control and reconcile rebates and price protection. Develop and maintain the company’s Sales / Margin and stock reports. Work with ERP & management information systems to develop & support business information requirements (Sage Line 500, X3 & BI). Advanced Excel skills to enhance business reporting. Set a clear procedure for the collection of rebates and credits from suppliers. Ensure all rebates are collected in a timely manner & any queries resolved ASAP. Ensure a full analysis of all rebates are prepared on a monthly basis with ageing & reconciled. Work effectively in a small cross functional management account team. With a positive influence in the actions you take, proactive mindset and passionate approach and style you will work closely in supporting our Head of Finance with the next stages of development in our Finance function ensuring team roles and responsibilities provide cover for critical finance tasks.
