Overview

We are looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to join us and drive our mission to enable the people we support to live the life they deserve. You will assist the Service Manager to ensure the running of high-quality services to individuals with varying levels of support needs. You will be delegated management tasks and given off-rota time. Some of the delegated tasks will include: rota management, 121s, coaching and training new staff, developing the existing team and leading them to complete support plans and risk assessments. You will be expected to manage the service in the absence of the Service Manager. You will lead your teams to provide person centred support and celebrate the achievements the person you support makes. Working in partnership with the people we support, their family, our specialist support teams and external agencies you’ll champion interactions, person-centred planning and implement support plans that improve the quality of everyday life. You’ll act as a role model and mentor to the team and facilitate the use of collaborative working and creative solutions to enable both them and the people we support to achieve individual goals and develop. You will manage staff performance, training and appraisals and ensure the team are motivated to deliver the best support possible. About You Ideally, we would love you to have experience in a managerial role, having gained or working towards your NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care. For exceptional candidates, we will support you in achieving this. An understanding and knowledge of the principles of positive behaviour support, Autism, relevant legislation and CQC standards will be essential for this role. A valid driving license is essential, you will be expected to provide on-call emergency support, including evenings and weekends, on a 1 in 6 week basis. Why work for us?
