Overview
Our Client is part of an international chemicals and coatings organisation and currently the leader in printing processes including digital, flexo, gravure, lithographic and screen printing using energy-curable inks and coatings and label and narrow web inks. They are seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician who is able to assist in developing new products for the use in various digital printing segments which are aligned with the company strategy. Main duties and responsibilities: · Developing and maintaining application testing protocols · Maintenance and SOP development of equipment (e.g. printers) · Support and maintenance of existing products · Development and maintenance of profitable new products to meet business requirements to agreed deadlines and timescales. · Provide technical advice, guidance and support maintaining laboratory processes, · equipment and resolution of customer issues. · Meets required Production, Quality, EHS and Regulatory policies when formulating new products and maintaining existing products. Competencies: · Degree in Chemistry/Physics or related discipline · Experience with method development and measurement system analysis. · Experience in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of wide format/industrial printers · Practical working knowledge in a relevant formulating laboratory environment, preferably aqueous · Proficient in the use of laboratory techniques and knowledge of SOP’s. · Written and verbal communication of technical investigations.
