We are currently looking for Community Payback Supervisors to join Thames Valley CRC to cover either the North or South of the region. North – Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes South – Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, South Buckinghamshire Working 37 hours over 4 days About the role Some of your responsibilities include: Supervising groups of Service Users working on projects to improve local areas, helping them learn practical skills in DIY, decorating, basic woodwork, gardening and conservation work. Sourcing and risk assessing potential projects, liaising with beneficiaries, and ensuring that sufficient and appropriate projects are available. Expected to impart work-related skills and act as a role model. Developing rapport with Service Users from a range of backgrounds, with the aim of encouraging and supporting them to change their behaviours. Assisting with the delivery of Health & Safety at Work and Vocational Skills learning. Our Community Payback Supervisors oversee groups of up to 10 Service Users with Unpaid Work Requirements (formerly known as Community Service) whilst they are completing work placements within the community. The work can be anything from clearing paths and alleyways, to painting schools, to conservation work and is carried out for local communities, charities and ‘not for profit’ organisations. About you · An excellent communicator with a broad range of range of practical skills. · You must have a full, valid driving licence and use of a vehicle as you will be required to travel throughout the region and you will also be required to drive a people carrier. · The ability to effectively manage a team and to deal with challenging behaviour. You'll be given full training and an additional allowance for weekend work 37 hours per week over 4 days Changing lives within your community, building futures….
