Overview

We are looking for a Functional Design Lead to work on a market leading Workday Implementation for one of the UK's largest multi-media organisations. You will be integral to their change and transformation HR strategy, which has UX at its heart. With a clear focus, next generation vision and some incredible in-flight digital evolution you will be a core member of this team. This two-year programme will ultimately change the way people contribute to the success of the business. The Workday technical and functional team will play a critical role in enabling the people experience transformation. Commencing in March 2020 we will begin with the journey to design, build and implement a new unified digital employee experience across the business which will be underpinned by the very best technology including Workday. The Functional Design Manager is a crucial role, which will join early in the programme to establish an understanding of current systems, processes, programme principles and overall objectives and is central to the success of the programme and comprises Experience, HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Performance, Talent, Absence, Recruitment, Security, Learning, Time Tracking, Payroll, ER, People Portal and Helpdesk. Reporting into the Director of Experience and Solution Design, and collaborating closely with the Functional Workstream Lead and SMEs, you will ensure that these workstreams are effective in their mission to design and deliver all functional features across the Programme, in a cohesive and complementary manner, we are seeking an experienced Functional Design Manager to join our team. Each Functional workstream will have its own Lead, who will have specialist skills, knowledge and experience in the respective area, the Functional Design Manager will take a holistic view across all functional design and delivery aspects of the Group Workday solution, including localisation, to ensure cohesion. You will work closely with the Employee Experience Lead from the Consulting Partner & will identify and escalate any risk or issues in line with the governance framework to ensure that the programme remain on track and that any wider dependencies are managed accordingly. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess cross functional HR experience and will have taken a management role in similar transformation programmes. It will be important for you to have developed a good understanding of HR structures and processes and how these are applied within the context of a global business. You will be required to develop excellent relationships across all streams of work within the Programme and in our markets. You will need to demonstrate previous project delivery experience with one or more ERP implementation in HCM or Financials, ideally having previously implemented Workday with full end-to-end design experience. You will have the ability to quickly understand the current strategy, framework, and future aspirations whilst having a natural ability to simplify complex problems and challenges working with SMEs within this space You will also hold a strong regulatory understanding of both the UK & global market and will be a leader who inspires those around you.
