Overview

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer We are recruiting for two a multi-skilled Maintenance Technicians, One Mechanically biased, the other Electrically to join a major manufacturer based in the Northampton area. This is a rotational Double-Day shift position offering an opportunity to work for a 60 year old manufacturer and leading industry supplier. THE ROLE: - Your key responsibilities will be to provide Electrical and Mechanical support to ensure performance of all production machinery. - Prompt attendance to automated machinery failures including work on Switchgear, PLC and CNC controlled systems. - Fault finding on mechanical hydraulic & pneumatic systems. - Continuous Improvement activities; spotting area's of the site and manufacturing area's to improve, creating solutions and implementation including project based work. THE CANDIDATE: - The successful Time Served / Apprentice Trained Engineer will have relevant Electrical or Mechanical qualifications depending on their skill set. - The Multi-Skilled Engineer will be a logical thinker, with an autonomous approach to resolving issues and faults, a self starter with the ability to prioritise urgent or non urgent work. You must be a team player with sound interpersonal and enjoy being part of a small close-knit team. - The Maintenance Engineer should have experience within a manufacturing environment, automation machinery and preferably heavier equipment such as hydraulic presses.
