Overview
Hug Technology is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work as part of a small team from our office in Manchester City Centre. You will be part of an integral team full of skilled Engineers, Developers, and Product Designers who relish a vibrant environment to collaborate in. Key Responsibilities: Working as part of the team to develop the back-end solution and deliver the core business products. 100% hands-on using Infrastructure as Code on the entire Deployment & Configuration stack: Configure, Build, Test, Deploy & Monitor Writing clean, maintainable code as part of a team Test, troubleshoot and maintain new and existing code Introduce industry best practices to keep the business at the leading edge Support Estimation Activities Supporting technical planning and management meetings Essential Skills : Working and deploying with cloud technologies Server side development: Google Cloud Platform/Firebase (FaaS, IoT, storage, database design & management) Knowledge on JIRA management & configuration Node.js HTTP Restful APIs MQTT Broker BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Desirable: Experience with DevOps tools and methods Travis CI Cloud Build Github Experience designing and reading with UML Experience with OAuth 2.0, HTTPS, SSH React, NodeJS Frontend development Technologies/Methodologies: Node.js Scripting (Bash, Python) Unit testing (Mocha) MQTT Restful APIs NoSQL About Hug Technology: Hug Technology is an innovative IoT start-up creating a brand new smart home solution based in Manchester City Centre.
