THERAPY AREA: Respiratory, Asthma, COPD TERRITORY: NORTHAMPTON PACKAGE: Basic salary commensurate with experience Option of company car OR car allowance Full benefits package including lunch allowance, RCN and NMC fees paid, private healthcare, contributory pension and 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays COMPANY OVERVIEW: A long-standing independent service provider of Specialist Nurse resource to key pharmaceutical clients Track record of delivering success at all levels of Primary Care Organisations Expanding Nurse Advisor team throughout the UK – seeking credible, knowledgeable professionals who can add value This is a great opportunity to make the step out of practice into an industry Nurse Advisor role Process has the potential to move quickly for the right candidates ROLE: As Nurse Advisor, you will be field based and responsible for your own defined geographical area This is a full-time opportunity with core working hours Monday – Friday MAIN ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with key customers within the primary care setting, running specialist clinics around Asthma and COPD management Participate as required in clinical and non-clinical audits aimed at improving patient outcomes and the effective and efficient delivery of services Ensure that patient confidentiality/NMC obligations/Data Protection is maintained at all times Involvement in education and training of Healthcare Professionals to increase confidence in managing complex cases and maintain optimum management of chronic disease within the patient population Working cross functionally with the wider team to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations Working to Key Performance Indictors (KPI’s) and remaining compliant with NMC code of conduct ESSENTIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS: All applicants MUST possess a current and valid PIN with no restrictions Have experience of working as a Practice Nurse Have experience of spirometry testing, interpretation and working within BTS, NICE and GOLD guidelines Hold ENB 998 (Teaching & Assessing) or equivalent Hold a full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points Be eligible to work in the UK Have the organisational ability to manage your own diary and customers spread throughout your geographical area IDEALLY YOU WILL: Have existing peer to peer relationships within the geographical area you are applying for Have current/prior commercial experience is advantageous (although not essential) Be computer literate with Microsoft programmes (Word/Excel/Outlook) Be adaptable and able to adjust quickly to changing circumstances, communicating effectively and remain focused under pressure Alternative Job Titles for this role include: Registered Nurse, RGN, Respiratory Nurse Advisor, Primary Care Respiratory Nurse Advisor, Field Based Nurse Advisor, Home Based Nurse Role, Clinical Nurse Specialist Are you interested or know someone who may be?
