Overview
GiBe Finance are working with a Housing Association in Kent, recruiting an Interim Financial Controller following a resignation pre COVID 19. The business have full authority to recruit the position and we are looking for someone with strong experience of working within Housing Associations who can "hit the ground running." The Role: Successfully manage the year-end audit process and deliver approved annual financial statements for the group and subsidiaries in accordance with the year-end timetable. Deliver all regulatory and financial returns on time and with complete accuracy. Implement strong financial controls and maintain financial records and systems in accordance with statutory financial regulations and company rules and procedures. Work in partnership with finance and business colleagues to deliver the business plan, budgets, forecasts and inform Board and Audit Committee reporting as required. Work effectively with stakeholders including external and internal audit partners, tax advisors and banking relationship managers. Drive team efficiencies to optimise performance by reviewing team systems and processes and automating where possible. To be the lead on the finance systems review project, contributing to the scoping, evaluation, procurement and implementation of new systems as agreed. Recruit and develop an efficient and effective team, including appraisal, training, succession planning and a talent stream for the future. Your Profile: Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Good working experience within Housing Associations Strong communicator - written & verbal
