Well you’ll be completing customer requests and documents that will include site approval questionnaires, customer specifications, traceability requests, paper-based audit requests as well as ad hoc requests. All data is hosted on a computer system nowadays so your proficient IT skills will mean you’re more than comfortable in entering, tracking and analysing relevant information. Let’s drill down into the requirements a bit more. You will need to have a great understanding of food technology, so a degree or qualification in this subject, or similar such as Chemistry or Biology, would be very advantageous. An absolute must is experience working with customer specifications in the food industry, utilising online platforms and systems. Got knowledge of SAP as well? Great, as this will be highly beneficial. Personal development here is key, you’ll have a plan set out so you can continuously improve to become the best at what you do. Development is important to these guys, with on-site investment in new technology and more importantly their people. It’ll need to be important to you, too. You’ll get a salary of £22,000 to £24,000.
