Overview

I am delighted to be once more recruiting on behalf of my client, a global cutting-edge innovator of technology for the global energy markets, who currently seek an Embedded Electronics/Software Engineer to join their Innovation division. The Embedded Electronics/Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded software for my client’s wide product range and support ancillary related services across the globe. Main responsibilities: Design, develop, test and support embedded software solutions to support and expand product portfolio Taking products from customer concept to launch and beyond influencing design at all stages of the product creation process Part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists, exploring cutting edge techniques · Developing software in C · Electronics NPD Project planning Customer visits including international travel Working with common industrial communication protocols Producing and managing technical and product documentation To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained in embedded software development utilising C. Ideally you will possess experience and a good understanding of electronics principals and production methods, coupled with a Degree in a relevant engineering subject i.e. electronics, maths, physics, computer science etc. Key selection criteria: Demonstrable experience gained at Engineer level in a similar engineering/technology business Comprehensive experience of software development using C Experience and demonstrable knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus or Hart) Demonstrable experience of working with real-time operations systems Experience of circuit design and testing (preferred) Software lifecycle and knowledge of best practice Experience of software development utilising C# and .Net Any additional experience of utilising the following would be well received: Atmel, IAR, Git, Hazardous Area, Functional Safety and Unit Testing.
