Overview
Riverside are looking to recruit Relief Workers at Marsh Way House and surrounding Wakefield areas working across a variety of shifts which can include: Early Shift 7.30am - 3.30pm Late Shift 2.30pm - 10.30pm Night Shift 10pm - 8am Marsh Way House operates as an Assessment Pathway providing supported housing to single people aged 16 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Wakefield. The overall aim of the Assessment Pathway service is to work with people to understand their individual housing needs and empower them to find the right move on accommodation. We work in partnership with the Single Point of Access within Wakefield Council’s Housing Needs Service. We operate under the ethos of PIE (Psychologically Informed Environment). Through partnership working and signposting we can help those who need support with: Housing Substance misuse Alcohol misuse Mental Health Physical Health Unemployment Offending Finances Education YOUR ROLE Your role will require you to give clients your time, positive support and patience, you will provide positive engagement by promoting and facilitating activities. You will be part of a team collectively encouraging people to realise their hopes and dreams, providing a platform for them to change their lives, feel safe and reach their full potential in the future. Our approach is respectful and caring, aiming to support our clients in gaining the skills and experience needed to enable them to achieve a positive move towards independent living. Your duties will include working on reception as the first point of contact for customers, general cleaning duties/flat turnarounds and health and safety checks. ABOUT YOU The successful candidate will preferably have experience of working in a homeless or support setting. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and remain resilient, reliable and motivated at all times.
