Or maybe you feel undervalued and overworked by your current employer and you know it its time for the next step up? If so, come join this company by the Gherkin Building in a shared office space, where you'll be working on a well- established application in the safe credit space. As a Java Team Lead, you will be coming in to lead a team of Java Developers, taking ownership of existing backend solutions, suggesting improvements and helping to shape the direction of technical implementation. This is a role where you'll be 70-80% hands-on. As the Java Team Lead, the Engineering Manager and CTO are going to give this individual the freedom to really own the backend code base and make it successful. You, as the Java Team Lead will be responsible for the overall quality and evolution of the retail, fintech platform. They are looking for you to have strong experience with Java, any migration experience where you have moved monoliths to microservices, and managerial experience in big or small teams, officially or non-officially. Any knowledge of other languages which is also part of their legacy code base will be a nice-to-have (Node, Java, PHP, AWS, Terraform, RabbitMQ).
