Overview
We are looking for talented professionals to join our fantastic, ever growing team to deliver Levy and Commercial programmes to our clients in the North East. We are looking for experienced professionals who have a background in manufacturing environments and Leadership & Management.We are looking for experience in using principles and methods of 8D, practical problem solving, DMAIC, facilitating Continuous Improvement projects as well as delivering innovative and inspiring training sessions. You will be responsible for a manageable caseload of learners delivering Lean Manufacturing Operative, Improvement Technician and Improvement Practitioner to manufacturing companies within the North East. The role of the Trainer is to develop and facilitate exciting and engaging learning journeys. Ensuring that client expectations and business needs are achieved whilst responsible for coaching and mentoring a cohort of learners to prepare them for end point assessment. The Trainer will be committed to delivering a high-quality service to our clients. Delivery of Training - Programme design and implementation, including scheme of work and lesson plans based upon agreed client specifications linked to vocational curriculum, Maths and English. Assist in developing and implementing teaching material including presentations, handouts, case studies and project briefs. Delivering group-based training sessions that are engaging and practical to embed tools and techniques that are relevant to the Learners industry. Deliver training that supports the development of Functional Skills Maths and English to achieve outcomes at Level 2 for both, and provide additional learning support to individuals as needed to ensure timely successful completion in line with apprenticeship standards EPA Gateway requirements. Monitoring and evaluating the delivery to feed into continuous improvement cycle. Share best practice with your peers. Contribute to the review of the quality of provision and implementation of any changes through standardization. Assessment - Managing a caseload of learners ensuring that their training needs are met and assessed to meet the requirements of the appropriate funding body, end point assessment organisation and GEM Training. Achieve KPI’s set including learner progress, success rates, timely completions, submission of learner evidence. Complete monthly progression reporting as required. Effectively plan and manage own time using appropriate tools such as outlook calendar. Ensuring work provided by learners is produced to their highest standard. Providing developmental feedback to the learner about performance and achievement . Devising and agreeing a delivery model with the learner and employer as appropriate linked to vocational qualification, Maths and English . Undertake learner induction and carry out a range of detailed initial assessments to identify learners starting point. Development of individual learning plans and set appropriate sequenced and logical targets for learners throughout their programme. Ensure all learners are visited regularly as per agreed Individual Learning Plan and where necessary additional visits are carried out to support additional needs. Monitor learner’s progression ensuring they progress each month and ensure assessment for each element of the apprenticeship (including Maths and English) is completed enabling learners to meet achievement in targets for all part of their programme timely. Preparing and developing the learner’s skills ready for end point assessment from starting point. Completing all relevant assessment forms and returning them to the internal quality function. Providing feedback to the internal quality assurer . Upholding the standards of the qualification Promote Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding and Health & Safety and embed within delivery (hot topics). All other ad-hoc tasked as directed by Line Manager. Promote and implement company policies and procedures Keeping and maintaining records in line with awarding body and ESFA procedures. Attend visit as required by the awarding body, sector networks, end point assessment organisation. Attend Team Meetings, Standardisation, CPD and Sector CPD Events. Contributing to our Self-Assessment (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) on a quarterly basis. Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) throughout the learner journey . Essential Experience - Substantial experience of delivery commercially focused workshops within required deadline to meet Business and Stakeholder KPI’s that are solution focused to meet business challenges. Experience of designing teaching plans and delivery models. 3 years Industry experience in Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Business Improvement Techniques up to Level 3 work-based learning or equivalent experience Project Planning experience Experience of delivering standards and frameworks Recent Functional Skills delivery Essential Knowledge - Knowledge of Ofsted criteria (EIF) Knowledge of most recent government initiatives Knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies Level 2 or above in Maths and English A broad portfolio of professional and personal development Level 3 Teaching qualification / CTLLS or equivalent Assessing Qualification (A1 or TAQA Award) Desirable - IQA experience QA Qualification (V1 or TAQA Award) Attitude - GEM Training is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
