Full Job Description Transport Co-ordinator Streamline Services are recruiting for an experienced Transport Co-Ordinator to join a friendly team based in Chelmsford. With a fleet of around 20 vehicles and a fleet in excess of 2500 weekly on hired portable toilets across multiple depots the role will see you working within the Transport Team scheduling and allocating daily toilet services, deliveries and collections to our team of Service Drivers utilising our route planning software tools. As Transport Coordinator you will be reporting directly to the senior Transport Co-Ordinator and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: To import, check, plan, direct and control the activities of the service team and transport fleet to optimise cost-effectiveness and use of resources. Consistently produce optimum vehicle, work and route allocation in terms of timings and cost. Ensure the fair and legally compliant distribution of driver work. Handle inbound customer and service team calls and management accordingly. Liaise with all departments and customers, to ensure toilet that deliveries and collections and services are organised and conducted in line with customer requirement. Actively seek to understand customer operational requirements and identify any service or delivery concerns or failures; Ensure delivery issues are fully communicated to operational teams and resolved timely. Assist in the development of the Company’s transport strategy to maximise profitability and return on investment; Work with all internal teams throughout the Company to support their work requirements as needed and maximise revenue wherever possible; Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures relevant to the role. Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department. About You. Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar role/environment although training in our business processes will be provided. Must be fully computer literate and able to use IT packages including Word, Excel and various databases. Transport and logistics route planning experience essential. Strong administrative experience essential Customer service skills and a solutions-oriented approach. Able to work in fast paced environment, to prioritise tasks and be organised and methodical. Must be able to work using own initiative and have a flexible, 'can-do' attitude. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills On Offer. 20 days per annum holiday plus all Bank Holidays 08:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday Up to £23,000.00 per annum depending on experience After a three-month probation period, if eligible you may join the Company Pension Scheme (NEST) Please apply if interested.
