My Client is a well-established, brand name, multi-site, food manufacturer based in the heart of North Yorkshire. Based across their sites, they have seen impressive growth year on year, with further growth plans for 2020. They have a brand name that supplies most retailers in the UK and now have their products in mainland Europe and the USA. A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stores Manager to join their site based near Ripon on a permanent basis. Primary Duties: To motivate, be responsible and push the stores team to consistently deliver high standards of work, making sure all aspects of quality, H&S and legislative requirements are adhered to. This role would suit a Stores Supervisor looking to make a step up to management, or an experienced Stores Manager looking for a new challenge where they can have autonomy and strive to make improvements. Duties: To oversee the dispatch and intake of all goods, ensuring that all quality, safety and hygiene standards are adhered to, ensuring positive release- customers direct.This needs to be done, prior to use. To maintain and improve both Product Quality and Quality Control. To coordinate the processing of customer orders from receipt to dispatch and records kept, this applies from supplier orders from procurement, customers and supply chain To ensure safe systems of work are in operation, being adhered to reviewed and updated as and when necessary. To ensure all staff has the necessary information, instruction and training to perform the work tasks asked of them.To supervise and monitor staff performance.To be responsible for staff discipline To encourage good staff morale. To act as an intermediary between Management and Staff, promoting good practices and being a route for staff comments, suggestions and concerns to reach the Management. To promote ‘team spirit’ and awareness. To ensure product ID and tractability records are accurately completed and retained Monthly, weekly and running stocks of finished products, consumables, ingredients and chemicals (monthly).Stock levels monitored and ordering of production consumables To ensure cleaning and good housekeeping standard are always maintained, records completed, checked and monitored. To coordinate with the engineering department to ensure all machinery and equipment is being operated in safe systems of work.Ensure all staff kept informed of any work being carried out by the engineers and made aware of any Health and Safety implications. To coordinate with the Health and Safety Representatives, assist in Hazard identification and associated Risk Assessments.To implement any control measures introduced and ensure compliance by Supervising, Monitoring and Recording. Assist in audits and reviews. To identify non-conforming product, and distressed stock, and ensure its correct route of disposal/ rework.
