Overview

The efficient and effective management of safety, health, environment and fire across both the nuclear and conventional areas of Devonport is a crucial function of the site’s operation. Over the course of two years, you will work across the conventional safety, occupational hygiene, fire prevention, environment, audit and safety culture departments, providing the full breadth of your specialist knowledge to make a positive contribution to healthy and safe operations. What you'll be doing Working as part of the multidisciplinary Safety, Health, Environment and Fire (SHEF) Department, you’ll ensure that we plan, advise and assess operations to guarantee that our employees are set up for success in terms of having the right working environment, knowledge, procedures and organisational support to do their jobs and comply with the law, local procedures and best practice. You will undertake a wide variety of challenging and exciting projects which have the potential to cover the full breadth of the department including; risk assessment, incident investigation, sharing and learning from events, assessment of employee exposure, project planning and investigating best available techniques – a rewarding experience that no other employer can provide.
