Terminal Operative / Cargo Handler (Army Reserves)

This job is for you Basic salary is £23,063 per annum, there is also the opportunity to receive additional bonuses through successful completion of training. In this exciting and varied role you will carry out cargo operations including the mooring of vessels, loading/unloading and securing of cargo, based at Solent Gateway Ltd (SGL) in Marchwood, Southampton. In order to support the MOD both in the UK and overseas, applicants will be trained to become Sponsored Reserves (SR) for an ongoing contract. On completion of training for the Army Reserves, adventurous training and expedition opportunities include hill walking, kayaking, rock climbing, sailing, scuba diving, and mountain biking or skiing. What you need: Be a UK or Commonwealth Citizen Valid full UK driving licence Aged between 18-43 years old (Army requirement) Physically fit - able to pass a fitness medical Able to pass UK Government Security Clearance MUST be able to commit to being part of the Army reserves for a set period, with the flexibility to undertake Army Reserve activities, such as going on Exercise to non-war zones and attending social events.
