ABOUT THE ROLE The position is full time and will cover our Central Division with focus on Oxfordshire and The Midlands so you must be willing to travel and be flexible to stay away from home where required. As a Peripatetic General Manager or Regional Support Manager at Barchester, you’ll travel across your division to help us deliver the high standards we’re known for. We’ll look to you to support care homes that have been identified as having concerns in improving their services or providing support where there is a General Manager vacancy. In the role of Peripatetic General Manager, you’ll make a real difference to resident’s lives across your division – and be truly valued and respected for what you do. ABOUT YOU You will have experience of leading and supporting care homes through change. Whether it be issues around quality, occupancy, agency usage and staff turnover you will take a diverse approach to troubleshooting. Experience of dealing with complex concerns and complaints is important, as is your understanding of the independent social and healthcare sector. Self-motivated, innovative and compassionate, you’ll be able to build strong professional relationships in every care home you support as well as with external health professionals. You’ll also need to have a full driving licence to be able to travel across the division. Finally, like us, you’ll pride yourself on your person-centred care.
