Supported Living Manager : Mental Health

Domus have a fantastic opportunity for a Supported Living Manager to join one of the leading providers of specialist care and support across the UK. We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Manager/Team Leader or current Supported Living Manager to take managerial responsibility for a Supported Living scheme in Southampton for up to 11 adults with Mental Health needs. We are seeking an innovative and creative professional, with the ability to manage a well-established 'Enhanced Community Recovery’ service. Job Purpose Ensure that the quality of care is high and that all necessary safeguarding measures are in place and acted on. Be on call out of hours to support the care team. Know the service users’ skills, interests and preferences to ensure the individualised service they receive helps them to overcome barriers and achieve their goals. Work consistently and positively with managers and other team members to ensure service users and their families receive a high-quality service from the whole team. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed at all times. Actively lead the team’s development by coaching and training colleagues in person-centred support practices, appraisals and supervision. Support the service users to remain safe and health in accordance with their individualised care plans. Manage key work with service users to promote their personal choice, independence and control. Lead and manage the team to support rota planning, recruitment and to manage colleagues in their support roles. Person specification; You will have a professional qualification/NVQ Level 5 or NVQ 4 (or working towards) and a minimum of three years management experience. Proven experience in promoting a better understanding of Mental Health issues to both internal and external clients and be an inspirational team leader. Thorough understanding of the Recovery Model. Ability to build relationships with Local Authorities and Commissioning bodies.
