Grounds Maintenance Operative

Grounds Maintenance Operative Our client Yorkshire Housing are a well-established social housing company. They are looking for Ground workers across the Wakefield area. Required: Grounds Maintenance Experience, Driving License (more than 2 years' experience and over 21), Physically fit and active, Positive attitude, Can work alone or as part of a team. There is no guarantee of company vehicle being provided but a driving license is essential. Trailer license would be great. The candidate must have a good knowledge of the industry and be well versed in delivering high quality grounds maintenance (cut and collect) in a commercial environment. They must be able to adhere to strict performance targets and rounds rotas. Fully versed in safe use of machinery and all aspects of H&S especially COSSH, PA1 PA6 safe use of pesticides is essential. What will this role of Grounds Maintenance Operative entail? Role involves all basic grounds tasks: grass cutting, pruning, Strimming weed control (including chemical), hard surface sweeping This is a customer facing role, therefore a pleasant and patient manner is essential. What will I need to be considered for this Grounds Maintenance Operative vacancy? 2 year Experience of grounds keeping / maintenance Ideally Horticulture NVQ or C&G 2/3 MUST HAVE PA1/6 MUST HAVE f ull UK driving licence Friendly and helpful manner Be a team player flexibility to work when the weather is suitable (including weekends) Awareness of health and safety at work What will I receive in return? As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll receive a salary of £21,391 pro rata (which equates to £10.91 per hour ) Contract: For the right candidate this is will lead to a permanent position.
