Overview
Senior Front End Developer (JavaScript AWS DevOps). Are you a tech-driven problem-solver, looking to use your skills as a Front End Developer in a fast-moving technology company? A key player in renewable energy trading is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to enhance their capabilities as they enter a new phase of growth. The company is dedicated to building a globally scalable technology platform to encourage energy companies to make better, greener decisions. As a Senior Front End Developer you'll be granted the agency to take full ownership of front end development, utilising JavaScript and whichever frameworks you deem best for the task at hand. You'll design, develop and support microservices as part of the innovative core platform, working with your team to identify any architectural changes to support and enhance quality, security, performance, availability and versatility. This Senior Front End Developer role is high visibility and high impact; you'll gain business-wide exposure working with key players across the wider software development teams to sustainably deliver quality working software at pace to customers. You'll also have the opportunity to call upon your industry experience to coach and mentor junior colleagues and push for increased team autonomy within a DevOps culture. You'll join an upbeat, motivated team at offices based in Cambridge (with onsite parking available) where you can enjoy a casual dress code and flexible working hours. Requirements: Strong experience as a Front End Developer (using JavaScript OO design) Commitment to producing high quality, technically excellent code quickly using continuous delivery software engineering practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation) Experience with cloud-hosted continuously deployed applications (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience in developing and maintaining modern distributed microservices-based software Experience working within Agile teams supported by CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of DevOps environments and related tooling (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) As a Senior Front End Developer you'll earn a highly competitive salary (to £85k) plus a comprehensive benefits package, including generous holiday allowance (with the option to buy more), a wellbeing programme, season ticket loans and more.
