Java Technical Manager London Up to £90,000 17.5% Bonus This is your chance to work for one of the world's largest travel platforms in London. This client is looking for a Java Developer who has been promoted up the ranks into a Management-level positions to come in and look after their Checkout division. This division looks after everything to do with helping customers book, view, change and cancel their hotel reservations. THE ROLE: Your role working as a Java Technical Manager will be to look after both an onshore and offshore development team, with the aim of driving effective and efficient delivery of the Checkout product roadmap. Other responsibilities will include: Line managing the onshore team of software developers (conducting 1-1's, performance reviews etc) Oversee the work completed by the offshore team Contribute to the long-term vision and technical roadmap Work with key stakeholders and regularly communicate with them to provide updates Drive a culture of continuous improvement in the group Create supporting infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines Thoroughly understand and communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical members YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: What your role as a Java Technical Manager will require: Prior commercial as a Java Software Engineer Proven experience being promoted up the ranks into a Software Engineering Management-level position Ability to grow and develop teams Experience working and creating software within an Agile environment Experience delivering production-quality applications Experience with AWS THE BENEFITS: The salary for your role as a Java Technical Manager is up to £90,000.
