Overview
Secondary PRU Teacher Academics is seeking to recruit a secondary PRU teacher or instructor on behalf of a small PRU in South Birmingham. You will be teaching English/RE. the PRU caters for KS3 pupils who have been excluded from their mainstream so behaviour is very challenging. Due to the nature of the children, we are seeking a teacher/instructor who has experience with dealing with challenging behaviour and isn't fazed by it. If you have previous experience in a PRU, challenging mainstream school, Youth centre or prison you would be ideal for the role. There is a lot of TA support at the school and the SLT are also very helpful. As it is a small school with only 5 or 6 pupils in each class there will be very minimal planning and marking.
