TerraCycle Overview – Operating in 21 countries (including 12 in Europe), TerraCycle is a world leader in the recycling of hard-to-recycle waste, such as pens, snack wrappers, food pouches, beauty product packaging, home care product packaging and even cigarette butts or marine plastics. We create collection and recycling solutions for anything that would otherwise be sent to incineration or landfill, the waste we collect is then transformed into new products such as benches or tables. For many of our solutions, we partner with some of the most recognizable brands and retailers in the world, including BIC, L’Oréal, P&G and Tesco amongst others to collect waste on a large scale. Job Overview – The TerraCycle European Marketing Team based in Perivale, West London seeks to hire a resourceful and driven marketing professional to oversee and take ownership of most of our digital platforms to participate in the promotion of our B2B2C services across Europe. Overseeing the Digital Marketing division, the Digital Marketing Manager will manage one Digital Marketing Executive and will report to the Head of Marketing. The division will also be liaising with the local Creative, Content, Marketing Campaign divisions, as well as the Global Marketing and Web Development teams to integrate deliverables and set-up effective digital strategies. The responsibilities of the division are the following: Primary Responsibilities – Take ownership of the 12 websites we have across Europe ( www.terracycle.com ) and update them (front-end and back-end) when requested (update copy, images, set-up new pages with assets provided…) Ensure all websites across Europe are duplicated within the same standards and be responsible of their accuracy Support other departments with website troubleshooting and liaise with the global WebDev team to resolve bugs Provide feedback and make proposal to the global teams to improve user experience (UX) through new website functionalities and redesign Follow the development of new functionalities and help other teams start implementing/using them Test the website and new functionalities developed by our WebDev team by following a script and transposing results Help other team members/departments craft effective strategies and analyse campaigns/traffic by extracting data from our websites, Google Analytics, tracking links, social media platforms, Hootsuite… Take ownership of our Email Marketing Service by following an emailing calendar, sourcing the right contact lists, updating the exclusion list and creating the email following the right layout and style (insert copy and images) Run A/B test (assets, keywords, audiences, bid, etc.) for on-going optimisations Redesign templated emails when suggested or needed Create and insert content in other digital assets such as online surveys, maps and forms Make recommendations to improve initial brief and make sure the TerraCycle’s European Marketing strategy is well implemented Meet with task’s requesters to take detailed ordering (sometimes complex) briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project as well as ensuring technical and time feasibility Research the latest marketing trends and make recommendations to Manager to improve the Digital Marketing strategy for the European business Help in implementing the use of a new Project Management Tool to facilitate work experience across teams by visually map out projects and keep an eye on progress (among others) Attend training as required to maintain proficiency Ensure copy translation for marketing assets if needed (and applicable) Requirements/Skills – 3 to 5-years’ experience working in a Digital Marketing department/division Degree in Marketing or similar relevant background Proven experience within a similar role Strong management skills Good understanding of HTML, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Mailjet, Hootsuite, Balsamiq and Website management (desirable but not essential) High ability to multitask and prioritise tasks Organised with an excellent level of attention to detail and a good eye for design Interest in sustainability (desirable) Compensation – Salary commensurate with experience 25 Paid Holiday Days 2 Paid Volunteering Days Quarterly Team Building On site Yoga and activities Company Pension contribution up to 3% of salary Casual and friendly upcycled work environment Start date – May 2020 Job description is not all inclusive.
