What you’ll be doing The key role of the Business Analyst is to ensure that the requirements determination and design of Products & Services for Cabot are undertaken. You will be working within a cross-functional agile team with the Product Manager, Scrum Master and other Business Analysts to support the Product and Services workstreams. This role would suit an enthusiastic person who has a keen interest in business process, worked within a business change environment and/or within a digital role. Some of the key responsibilities include: Support Product Manager in work as part of a cross-functional team who design, deliver and maintain technical, software based products and services to customers and employees Undertake effective requirements determination through discussion with business and IT stakeholders within our cross-functional team Negotiate solution design with a number of other technical roles - such as Developers, Testers, Development Architect, Digital Development and IT Operations Representatives Make contributions in the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts, and also perform test execution as required. Ensure that non-functional requirements and operational considerations are factored into all solutions Actively refine and enrich the product backlog ensuring requirements and solution designs are understood and effort sized by the team two sprints in advance of being taken into sprint. Seek opportunities to improve processes, solutions and approach through a review-and-improve mentality Working closely with testers and business champions within functional areas, manage the UAT process through to business readiness and cut-over To train and demonstrate solutions to end-users and internal customers Prepare appropriate handover documentation and knowledge transfer Create and maintain effective solution and process documentation The fun facts: Not only are we offering a competitive salary and a fantastic bonus scheme, you will also be entitled to loads of great benefits such as gym membership subsidy, discount and cash back on hundreds of high-street shops, healthcare cash back plan, travel insurance, pension, 23 days holiday, plus much, much more. Things we need from you Education to a degree level desirable Any qualification indicating a high level of analytical skills Experience of working in a digitally focussed role Awareness of business and data analysis tools and techniques such as: requirements elicitation, structured analysis and design, process mapping and component business modelling, business process re-engineering. To learn and adopt different business analysis techniques appropriate and relevant to delivery scope Excellent communication skills Good planning and organisational skills, able to juggle competing priorities and take an appropriate course of action What happens next?
