Procurement Officer Summer Internship
Overview
Working in Procurement enables you to take up a variety of roles to help ensure that to that we deliver the right products, at the right time and at the right cost to the required quality. Your role will be varied; ranging from undertaking supplier visits to a more analytical focus of developing procurement strategies. The Supply Chain team is an important support function in one of the world’s most exciting defence companies. We provide world-class sourcing, contract and supplier management capability to deliver increased product or service quality, reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) and enhance operating efficiencies without compromising quality, safety, health or the environment. Follow your passion with the following responsibilities: - You’ll ensure that activity delivers value for money through planned and skilful management, typically coordinating supplier selection - Subsequent and appropriate management of the supply base (SRM); contract negotiations, placement and management of all third party requirements in relevant categories / projects - You’ll develop relationships with stakeholders and maintain stakeholder maps, you’ll also be responsible for producing key reports and presentations to those same stakeholders What we have on offer for you Take your first steps in a career that challenges, rewards and evolves.
