No recruitment agents please The 2nd line Support Engineer is an essential part of the business, As the 'face’ of the business a professional and friendly manor is required to provide an excellent experience and build relationships with clients, in person and using the support desk tools provided. 2nd line will be responsible for user support and general maintenance of desktops, printers, scanners and other IT equipment. We are looking for someone with IT experience, either as a 1st line support agent or preferable with some 2nd line experience. This role is based in Wembley, London. General L2 Tasks and responsibilities: Resolving IT issues using remote software, in person, over the phone and between sites; Creating & keeping a detailed log of all technical faults in ticketing system; Accept and respond to tickets in a timely and professional way in line with agreed SLA’s; Escalating tickets, taking feedback and carrying out further testing to resolve issues. Visiting clients and client sites to undertake troubleshooting steps. Working on projects in line with the business and client’s needs. Working closely with other departments/organisations and collaborating with other IT staff; Building, configuring and upgrading desktops and laptops; Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty; Carry out network maintenance tasks; Administer clients O365 user portals and licensing. Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection; Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords; Create quotes and other documentation in line with business needs; Maintaining records of assets and software licences; Being aware of and applying security practices; Understanding implications of the role in relation to data protection and GDPR; Keeping a clear desk space and organised office area; Carrying out other tasks as necessary as dictated by the needs of the business; Undertake training in order to keep up to date and to develop; Question the norm and provide alternative and new ways of working; Key skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including O365; Strong knowledge of Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7 - 10; Server 2012 -2019; Excellent customer service; Practical knowledge and experience in problem-solving strategies; Organisational skills; Understanding of SLA's; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Company Description: Proxar IT Consulting have been established for over 10 years delivering excellent solutions and service to our clients.
