Overview
Are you an an accountant with practice experience seeking a new opportunity that can offer you either full or part time hours? Watson Evans Associates are keen to receive applications from people with experience of working in accountancy practice as a Senior or who are ready to step up to this level. The firm enjoy a loyal client following in the Newton Abbot area and are continuing to grow as they win new business. The position will be offered on a permanent basis with a starting salary between £28,000 and £32,000 (to be pro rated if part time hours are required) dependent on experience and qualifications. You will work a portfolio of clients to provide a high quality tax, accountancy and VAT service with the attention to detail and personal touch that SME's demand. Duties will include planning and reviewing sets of accounts and forwarding final accounts to clients, setting budgets for staff to adhere to and assisting them while providing training and support, preparing and reviewing Tax returns, preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, meeting, advising and maintaining effective communication with clients including forecasting work and billings. To be considered, you must have previous experience of working in accountancy practice You'll already have an up to date and working knowledge of accounts preparation and mixed tax work with detailed knowledge of accounting principles.
