Overview

Are you a full-stack Principal Engineer who would enjoy working in an engineering culture of excellence using the latest technology? (React, Node, Typescript, AWS Lambda) Would you like to be given the time and resources to deliver your best work? (Software Craftsmen, TDD, Pair programming, XP etc) Does equity in rapidly scaling startup appeal? Would it help if their management team had previously exited multiple times, including a £1bil unicorn? If so this could be the Principal Engineer position for you This company have built and launched an eCommerce platform in 6 months and are already achieving significant traction in a market that is ripe for disruption, worth £50bil. They have raised a European record in seed funding and already hit revenues of £10mil and are looking for 5 Principal Engineers to further their growth. This is a business that is going places They are building an outstanding engineering culture where all teams are given resources and support to deliver code to the highest standard. What does this look like? TDD as standard not just 'when the time allows', pair programming is routine, coupled with a world-class coaching staff (Agile/Technical/Quality) to ensure that all engineers develop their skills and not just features What does a Principal Engineer need to do to secure a spot with this amazing company? Strong front-end Javascript skills - any framework/tooling experience. Comfortable working on the backend too but this does not have to be in Node Experience working with Cloud tech - any vendor is fine, no need for previous Serverless experience The prospect of working to the highest standard should get you excited Not too much to ask given what they are offering Principal Engineers who join their team is it?
