Overview

A well established Claims Management business seeks to hire a Motor Insurance Engineer to assist in the growth of their motor claims unit following a large Insurer client win on a temporary to permanent basis. You will inspect damage, assess cost, evaluate and report on motor vehicles and their associated equipment. You will deal with cases in the most appropriate way including total loss settlement. You will negotiate method and cost of repair work to obtain quality repairs at competitive costs. Working closely with the overall motor claims team provide a cost efficient and effective vehicle inspection service. You will also offer advice to the business when required, on technical matters related to the ownership and insurance of motor vehicles. Covering a defined geographical area, you will spend time in your area inspecting vehicles and creating reports using Audatex. You'll also be responsible for negotiating the method and cost of repair work, in addition to agreeing valuations as required. You'll work in partnership with local network repairers and be responsible for providing technical advice and support to claims colleagues. To be considered ideally, you will be experienced in the motor insurance vehicle repair industry, with Audatex experience, qualified to ATA VDA or IAEA level, or working towards this qualification. This role involves salvage categorisation; therefore familiarity with the latest motor vehicle salvage code of practice is preferred.
