A well established and developed manufacturing client based in the Hampshire area is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join their growing operations team as they enter an exciting phase of growth. The Company The company provide purification solutions and dominate the market in their industry. They operate across a broad spectrum of industries such as aerospace/defence, pharmaceutical and oil and gas and they are looking to grow their team and invest in their procurement function in order to take them to the next step within the market. Senior Procurement Manager This exciting opportunity will be about establishing sourcing new products from new suppliers, in the right place at the right time. Lead a team of 5 globally, you will act as the head all procurement and commercial activities across the business and develop and implement processes. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the entire operations across the procurement function, leading negotiations, sourcing and contracts. Other responsibilities include: Lead negotiations Source new products from new suppliers, whilst developing and maintaining relationships Work with the Operations Director to progress the business forward within its next stage of growth Obtain best possible prices for all new quotes to enable us to have the best chance to win work new work packages Set up a database of material and treatment prices for quick reference, to allow estimating to offer quick prices for our quotes. Decide on all sourcing of any new work packages at the very best price and where possible link to our customer contracts to negate profit risk over the course of the contract Carry out supplier visits to look for further cost down ideas and build excellent relationships Manage and lead a team Senior Procurement Requirements: Experience in sourcing raw materials across a variety of industries Technical ability required Ability to lead, manage and achieve targets Experience within a manufacturing environment essential In return, you will receive a salary of up to £60,000, 25 days holiday, competitive pension, bonus scheme and the chance to develop within an expanding business.
