Overview
Watermelon Group is a local company which operates 5 venues in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Our West End venue, Corner Tree Cafe is currently on the lookout for an experienced Cafe Manager to take the helm. This is a small but very high volume venue focussing on brunch, lunch & afternoon tea. This position may suit an experienced Assistant Manager stepping up into their first Management role with the support of the owner and area manager, but a minimum of two years catering management experience will be required. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; Being responsible for the day to day running of the venue Recruitment and training of staff Financials including cashing up, banking and working to set wage and product budgets Orders and stock control Providing and supervising a high level of service to ensure customer satisfaction Working with the Area Manager and Head Chef to grow and develop the business Working with our Facilities Assistant to ensure the venue is run in line with health and hygiene regulations Candidates will have; Previous experience in a catering position at a minimum of Assistant Manager Level in a high volume environment Confidence in making coffees to Barista standards Previous experience in working to budgets and understanding of financial records A positive outlook and remain calm whist working in a high volume environment Benefits include; Competitive Salary Equal share of Cash Tips 25% Staff Discount in all Watermelon Group Venues 15% Staff Discount in the Treehouse Homestore Free Staff Meal on Shift Support and Training to progress in an expanding, local Company This job was originally posted as www.caterer.com/job/89813023
