Materials Planner

Materials Planner Buckingham, Buckinghamshire £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) Permanent Position Black Cat Recruitment are currently working on a large recruitment campaign for a leading automotive parts manufacturer based near Milton Keynes. Due to significant new investment in personnel, processes and plant this year, there is an opening for a permanent Incoming Materials Planner to join their team. Main purpose: To manage the supply chain, to ensure incoming goods, including raw materials into the company, ensuring uninterrupted feed to the production cells, whilst maintaining stock levels within given financial or quantative parameters on the MRP system. Key Responsibilities: Provide primary point of contact for supply chain Logistical issues Place orders on those suppliers, approved for series production via a weekly schedule Expedite orders to ensure production cells are fed without interruption Maintaining stock levels within the business' levels of affordability and not to exceed these financial or quantative levels, which will be agreed between Purchasing and Finance leads Escalate potential issue in a timely manner to key stakeholders Experience and Qualifications: Strong persuasive skills required Must be able to work in a methodical manner, managing data, and communicating clearly Experience in a similar role within the automotive sector Computer literate in Microsoft Office programmes including Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables etc.) Understanding of MRP systems Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal and external Able to work on own initiative and be able to adapt to new processes and situations If you have the relevant experience and would like to explore these excellent opportunities, please apply with your up to date CV or contact Ian at Black Cat Recruitment for more information.
