Production Planner
Overview
Great new role for a Production Planner with good MRP/ERP skills and manufacturing experience. Our client is a global company and in this busy and interesting role you will ensure that a ll manufacturing areas achieve the weekly production output plan. The Role Supporting the Planning Manager in decision making and processing of large volumes of orders. Creating and monitoring a 6 week rolling production plan in discussion with Planning Manager and Production Manager. Review achievability of plan and shift patterns with the Planning Manager. Champion and develop data capture (OEE) to ensure Machine Loading and Utilisation is understood and factored into the Plan. Review Shifts with Manager to ensure smoothing of load whilst still achieving customers dates. Utilise Work Centre reports and update job progress on the MRP system. Attend meetings as required. Maintain/create procedures manual. The Person Solid MRP/ERP experience. Experienced in MS Office; particularly excel. Experience of data collection and manipulation to provide relevant reports. Ability to hold meetings with various levels of personnel to observe progress and prepare production plans. Inventory control advantageous although not essential. Purchasing experience advantageous although not essential.
