Overview

One of the UK’s largest flooring distributor’s supplying floor coverings and accessories to both residential and commercial sectors. Their massive stock range enables them to provide an unprecedented next – day nationwide delivery service for their customers. About the Role: Based in Camberley you will be required to manage both the branch and telesales teams, ensuring that the branch achieves budgeted sales and margin and that costs are controlled within budget whist leading managing and motivating the internal sales team.Specific duties will include; Provide leadership and direction for the team, recruiting high quality staff and ensuring that they are properly equipped and developed to achieve their targets. Contribute to the development of a sales strategy for the branch which will provide for long term profitability. Assist to establish a sales plan which reflects the market potential of the branch’s trading area. Ensure clear objectives are set for each member of the sales team which match the budget and which satisfy the needs of the branch. Maintain a decent working environment which complies with Health & Safety requirements and set high standards for behaviour and performance which motivate staff to achieve. Communicate effectively to all individuals and the team ensuring that everyone is aware of their own performance and the branch overall. Identify new sales opportunities and research, introduce and establish new accounts. Introduce product promotions to customers and maximise margin within pricing policy guidelines. Key Skills/Experience Required: In order to be considered for the role of Branch Manager, you must possess the following; Experience of managing a trade counter or showroom. Previous experience of negotiating wholesale trade agreements. Solid experience selling at national level. Proven leadership skills with the ability to articulate corporate vision and translate that into effective strategic and operational plans. Highly motivated with a drive to succeed and a passion for sales. Strong time management and multi-tasking skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Computer literate with Microsoft Office systems. The ability to operate and influence successfully at all levels of an organization. Strong background knowledge of the key principles and techniques involved in selling, purchasing, logistics, stock management and general management. Good business acumen. Experience of integration of acquisitions. Superior customer focus. Strong analytical skills.
