Supplier Quality Engineer - Engineering/Manufacturing

The Role: The SQA Engineer will be responsible for the Quality Assurance of purchased parts throughout the complete product cycle. Must have Audit and FAIR experience. Active engagement in early phase concept work/NPI, supply chain strategy and supplier nomination. Manage and leading Supplier Quality Audits and regular external assessments to ensure compliance Proactive and reactive supplier development activities, impacting on supplier process yield, continuity of supply and product quality. Hands-on experience of Lean Manufacturing. Management of supplier quality performance through the generation of supplier quality KPIs. Manage the production part and product approval process between the client and the supply base. Management of supplier quality performance through the generation of NCRs and corrective actions. Manage the parts quality implications of product and supplier changes. Ensure launch readiness at component level for the introduction of new parts. Attend Operations / Production meetings to report part availability. Support the process in conjunction with purchasing to ensure timely receipt of goods and query resolution. The Ideal Person: Relevant automotive/aerospace qualification at A level or equivalent. Proven track record in a SQA role in either aerospace or automotive. Experience of AS9100 and ISO/TS 16949. Experience with various manufacturing processes. Results driven and a team worker. Flexible and comfortable in a changing environment. The position may require travel and the individual must hold a current passport and be willing to undertake short and longhall travel on an as-required basis.
