Stores Person Tewkesbury Permanent Salary - Dependent on experience I am currently recruiting for a Stores Person (Engineering Stores) for a well-established Engineering company based out of Tewkesbury. We are looking for candidates that can hold responsibility for managing goods in and out, stock levels, material ordering and stores reporting. Key areas of responsibility: ¢ Supplier selection and relationship management to benefit the ordering of goods. ¢ Placing and tracking of orders from suppliers. ¢ Issuing loaned tools from stores, recording such transactions on the stock recording system. ¢ Assisting with the receipt of material deliveries ensuring the items and quantities match with the purchase order. ¢ Reporting of any discrepancies or quality concerns to the supplier. ¢ Matching delivery notes with purchase orders and keeping records daily. ¢ Issuing requested consumable materials from the stores, recording transactions on the stock recording system. ¢ Becoming the key user for internal tool ordering systems. ¢ Moving items around the factory through the use of the materials handling equipment. ¢ Delivery and collection of materials as required. ¢ Apply experience and share ideas on improving procedures both in stores and material control, and across the factory. Skills and Experience required: o Have previous experience of working in engineering stores within a machine shop or as a CNC Machinist o Strong ability to deal with people o Have good numeracy skills o Be organised, methodical, tidy and precise o Be computer literate in Microsoft Office o Prior experience of a stock management system o Be a team player who has a flexible approach and able to demonstrate good time management. o Prior use of materials handling equipment is beneficial but not essential o Driving licence to use company vehicle Hours of work Monday to Thursday - 8.00am to 5.00pm Friday - 8.00am to 1.00pm For more information or to apply please contact or call 01452 507500
