Overview
The role of the Domiciliary Care Branch Manager is to manage and grow a successful local domiciliary care business delivering services of the highest quality and efficiency within a defined geographic area, with the support of a team of suitably qualified and supported staff. Client Details Based in Biggleswade, my client is one of the UK's leading healthcare groups with companies offering a range of home care services including live-in care and complex care. Description The duties of the Branch Manager may be many and varied, but will typically be of the kinds described below. Further general detail is in the employee handbook and on the group intranet. The Domiciliary Care Branch Manager typical duties include (the list is not exhaustive): Managing resources within agreed budgets; Being aware of and monitoring achievement of applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), whether internal, regulatory or contractual; Maintaining management data and providing management reports to senior management as and when required; Participating in and contributing to strategic business planning; Ensuring that sufficient staff are recruited to meet service demand and planned growth; Supporting marketing strategy and activity; Contributing as appropriate to contract bids (which may include taking part in presentations or interviews); Implementing and maintaining effective and robust systems for administration and record-keeping in line with group policies and procedures; Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoicing, payroll and accounts payable in line with group procedures; Profile Understanding of principles of good care Solid understanding of the statutory and regulatory framework relating to the group's range of services Understanding of the needs of specific service user groups (as relevant to the local office) Understanding of principles of health and safety, risk assessment and management as applicable to the care sector Understanding of the home care market, both locally and nationally Understanding of public sector commissioning processes and contracts Understanding of principles and practice of quality assurance Understanding of principles of business management and development Dispute resolution Understanding of and commitment to equality, including practical issues Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to address groups of people Excellent spoken English skills Excellent written English skills Relevant accounting and budget management skills Able to speak or write minority languages Microsoft Office skills Research skills, including use of the internet Email skills Job Offer The successful Domiciliary Care Branch Manager will receive a basic salary of £35,000 other benefits
