Overview
Full Stack Web Developer required to join growing, fast paced FinTech company and the leading UK provider of financial planning and advice technology. Full Stack Web developer with responsibility for the on going development, support and maintenance of market-leading stochastic modelling solutions for the financial services industry. Would you enjoy taking ownership of the technical design, development,maintenance and implementation of EValue’s web applications, both frontend and backend ? You will be working hand in hand with Web Designers, Product Owners, Actuarial Testers and the Infrastructure team. We are looking for an accomplished developer who can deliver robust and performant code on schedule. Required knowledge and experience All applications are web based, so we’re looking for someone with excellent, demonstrable experience building for the web. Solid experience with Javascript frameworks - ReactJS is a must. Node JS - using the Express Framework . GraphQL - knowledge of Apollo a bonus. HTML5 , CSS ? Unit testing in Javascript frameworks (e.g. Jest or Jasmine ) A solid working knowledge of Java . Document databases ( MongoDB a big plus) and Mysql Scrum and working in Scrum teams. Desirable knowledge Experience with any of the following would be very advantageous: Automated testing using Cucumber & Selenium RESTful web services Jenkins, Kubernetes, Openshift(OKD), Docker, AWS Reddis Gulp, NPM, Lerna GIT Working with business and product stakeholders to understand and deliver requirements. The ability to work with and improve someone else’s code just as well as your own. Experience in financial services Qualifications This is a mid-to-senior position, so we’ll be focusing on your experience to date. Most developers have a degree in a related field (Computer Science, software engineering, IT, etc), but we hire based on talent and merit.
