Overview
If you are looking for a progressive Finance Assistant role where no two days are the same, where you will have autonomy in your role, but also have the support & training from those around you, and if you are looking for a varied and exciting challenge then this could be the PERFECT role for you This Finance Assistant role will be to support the Financial Accountant in delivering a high-quality service to the business, through supporting on a number of key processes, and management of the expenses process as well as liaising with key external government bodies and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Statutory Accounting/Compliance Support the Financial accountant with all compliance-related activities including audit and tax, including managing monthly and quarterly VAT and PSA reviews Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and TB production Posting of standard journals, e.g. accruals, recharges Posting and reconciliation of fixed assets nominal accounts, e.g. depreciation Support the Financial Accountant with other monthly activities Lead with the regular reporting to the Office of National Statistics Consolidate and review the information from an array of stakeholders around the business to deliver accurate and timely outputs Act as the lead on the expenses process, working closely with the Transactional team to ensure postings are fit for purpose, and develop the process to drive efficiencies Support the Financial Control team and Reporting team with other developments and ad-hoc work as required Support the Financial Controller and Head of Reporting with personal and team admin duties Our client are offering a competitive salary and study support for the right candidate.
