Job description: FYTE are delighted to be working with Glasgow based business?who are looking to recruit experienced Buyers and Expeditors on a contract?basis. Candidates will be used to working in high pressured and busy environment ideally from the manufacturing or engineering sector. Key responsibilities will include: Full account management of key strategic subcontractors including operational purchasing and performance improvement, contract governance and relationship management across all functions Assist in the source of new vendors, resolves conflicts concerning materials or services at the department and vendor levels Provide detailed analysis against this criteria, comparing vendor's cost and other attributes Continuous Improvement of On-Time Delivery and quality performance of key Project subcontractors? also work closely with the management team to set policy on vendors and the method of selection Experience required: SAP, castings, metal machining, OEM parts sourcing is preferred. Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills, influencing, inter-personal, communication, IT including SAP or equivalent, vendor management Experience with the procurement of a variety commodities Experience of tender bids, contracts, management of sub-contracts, Supply Chain standards and process Tenacity, detail conscious, results orientated, customer focused, professional & personal credibility, self-direction and motivation Education level: Vocational Work experience: 3-4 years
