The vacancy We are looking to hire a Team Leader who can provide great care and companionship for the service users who live in our services and run a team of support workers. No two days are ever the same at Precious Homes but every day is rewarding and fun for our Autism Care Support Workers. You will be working in a fantastic environment with the best facilities and as part of a highly skilled fun team delivering high quality person centred care. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Running a staff team to outstanding standards Helping your team in the support of residents to develop independence and life skills Mentoring your team to assist people to achieve daily goals - this could be as simple as making a cup of tea Assisting with the development of person centred plans for our residents Encouraging our teams to support people in undertaking daily activities or development in their own service apartment and / or in the community. Organise and brainstorm daily activities such as arts, crafts and anything you think your service user group would enjoy. This includes employment, education and other opportunities. Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments What we need from you You MUST have experience working with people with autism, mental health, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour or complex needs. To be successful for this role you will need to promote outstanding people skills and positive relationships with our residents, their families and staff. Exceptional communication skills and positive mental attitude are essential. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
