Overview

Mechanical or Electrical Design engineer to join one of the UK's top 10 Universities Your new company One of the UK's top 10 universities are looking to add a design engineer (mechanical or electrical) to their estates team. There is a 5 year plan in place to develop their campus, with a range of new build and refurbishments of pre-existing buildings. Examples of these projects are new build sports centre and extension of the arts centre. The projects will typically be capital projects ranging between £1 million to £5 million. Your new role You will be completing the designs for the upcoming projects, reporting into the design manager. You will be working alongside the cost & framework manager to offer an early stage costing on the projects. You will be required to offer the technical support and guidance to the internal teams and managing external parties. Throughout your role you will manage programme budgets ensuring all the projects are delivered within the overall budgets.
