If so, this is an opportunity not to be missed. We are currently recruiting a Catering Manager to manage The Academies eight school catering service. You will be responsible for leading the individual academies in the management of their Catering Service. This is an opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and develop within a progressive and ambitious Catholic Academy and develop a special catering offer within a school environment. This position will suit an experienced catering professional, who is passionate about food quality, is innovative and has high standards of service delivery. About The Romero Catholic Academy (TRCA): TRCA is a large academy of seven Primary schools and one Secondary school in the North East of Coventry. We educate 3500 pupils from ages 3 to 19 and employ over 500 staff. The Academy Catering Manager, working across schools within the Romero MAC is a new role for the Romero Catholic Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of catering provision within the Academy. The core purpose of the role is, w ith the support of the Academy Business Director, to take responsibility for the management, improvement and monitoring of the catering services across the Academy ensuring a high quality and effective service is provided. Overall Responsibilities · Manage the Academy Catering Services and support the individual schools in the management of their Catering Service. · To provide a customer focused service, which is courteous and responsive and meets the customers needs at all times. · Grow the meal uptake from current levels of 1100 per week. · Determine a set of Key Performance Indicators to deliver an outstanding service. · Ensure financial administration is carried out, following the academy systems and financial regulations. · Manage a team of 35 school cooks and catering staff and provide coaching support for Performance management and professional development. · Work with the school business managers to identify areas for continuous improvement, recycling initiatives, promotion of the service, reduce waste etc. · Promote the service to maximise meal uptake through effective marketing campaigns. · Attend and co-ordinate meetings with school representatives as required. · Provide advice and support to schools on special diets, healthy eating, budgets and ordering, portion control, preparation and costing of the menus, cooking and presentation of meals, health & safety , food safety systems, COSHH, waste services etc. · Participate in new initiatives and future changes in service delivery improvements to support the provision of the catering service throughout the Academy. · Create and maintain key working relationships with internal customers, team colleagues and external partners/organisations. · Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation, organisation procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct in order to uphold standards of best practice. · And such duties as are within the scope, the salary grade and the spirit of the job purpose, the title of the post, and its grading.
