Overview
Outreach Tutor - 1-1 teaching for SEN - South East London – Delivery remote sessions online Due to the current climate, we will continue to support our students through this difficult period and this is why we need your help We are looking for tutors who are able to deliver remote teaching sessions online to our students. The schemes of works will be provided to you, but you will have to put a creative spin on the curriculum to engage the student(s) back into education We are looking for individuals who can commit to the end of this academic year and/or next year to ensure our students have consistency. We do have part, and full-time contracts available. The Complete Works (TCW) is an alternative educational provision which delivers a unique and innovative education to students. Our approach to learning allows students to feel empowered and appreciated. You do not require to have a teaching qualification to teach at The Complete Works. We have students all over London e.g. Southwark, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets, Islington and Hackney. We are highly successful in delivering each child with a unique learning programme, 1 to 1 tuition and interventions Person Specification Previous experience /knowledge of SEN. (Autism, MLD, SEMH) Knowledgeable of the UK curriculum - up to GCSE Level Preferably Be able to plan effective lessons and differentiate based on each child individual needs Aware of safeguarding in a school environment Reliable, punctual & organised Ability to develop rapport with young people Emotional resilience needs to be high Creative, patient and calm with a desire to get the best out of young people About the Role You will be responsible for working 1-1 with your student, tutoring in English, Maths or Science. This is usually done in their homes, Libraries or our in our centres. However, due to the global situation we will now be offering our services remotely to our existing students and any new students who will be enrolled to TCW. What we offer: New Teacher induction training (Five Consecutive Tuesday from 4.30 – 6.00 pm – online- Paid) Every Thursday we have whole school training (Every week from 4.30 – 6.00 pm – online - Paid) School Counsellors to offer support Education team to provide additional support Teaching and Learning team mentors Observations for ongoing development You will be teaching as well as training. You will be on an induction rate for the first five weeks. We offer bank worker contracts so you will be paid £14.00p/h with an additional £ 1.69-holiday pay. After your induction period, your rate will be reviewed and may increase to £17 - £18 per hour. Holiday pay is paid in January, May and August. If you would like further information please email us.
